Thousands of Party supporters in the Bugisu Sub-region gathered at Cricket Grounds in Mbale City to welcome the FDC National leaders led by Party President Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi and the Party Secretary General, Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi while on their countrywide mobilisation tour ahead of the 2026 General Election.

While officiating the launch of the mobilisation and recruitment expedition of Bugisu sub region coupled with the unveiling of the FDC digital membership registration, the FDC Party President Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi reaffirmed the Party’s unwavering commitment to the values of democracy, human rights, and social justice. He recommitted the Party to the struggle for a better Uganda, where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive.

At the rally, the FDC Party President received new members who crossed from other parties to the FDC including Mr. Mafabi Ronald the former Parliamentary candidate for Budadiri West constituency on an NUP ticket in the 2021 elections. The Party is thankful to the organising committee led by Sheikh Massa Musa, the Secretary General Rt. Hon. Nandala Mafabi, Party Deputy President Hon. Margaret Wokuri Madanda, Vice Chairperson Counsel Jamal Abdallah Wante and the entire leadership in Bugisu sub region for the great job well done in coordinating and successfully mobilising the event.

In a special way, the Party is thankful to the great people of Bugisu sub region for the warm reception accorded to the Party leadership and for embracing the digital membership registration program in large numbers. The revolutionary train will now head to Northern Uganda.
