SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
The Expression of Interest for the various positions for Special Interest Groups (Youth, PWDs and Older Persons) closed on 9th May 2025. The Picking of Nomination Forms of the Special Interest Groups will commence today Monday 12th May and end tomorrow Tuesday 13th May 2025. The Nomination of the various Special Interest candidates will take place on Thursday 15th May and 16th May 2015. The Nomination of the candidates shall be done by the FDC District Electoral Supervisors at the respective districts. All this is to prepare our Youths, Older persons and PWDs for the National nominations due to take place from 2nd June.
We implore the District Electoral Supervisors to exhibit high levels of impartiality and constitutionalism. Take note, The FDC does not charge any fees for a candidate who wishes to run as a Councillor at any level
MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT AND OTHER VACANCIES
The Commission set 30st May as the deadline for submission of the Expression of Interest Forms for the Member of Parliament, LCV chairperson, Mayor, Division/Sub-County Chairpersons and all Councilors excluding the Special Interest Groups. Members of the Party need to follow this guidance not to appear past the deadline for any of the levels. Here we are talking about picking Expression of Interest forms and Nomination Forms. If members don’t follow this keenly, don’t blame the Commission for your failures. Briefly, the Commission set picking of nomination forms for MPs, LCV Chairperson and Municipality Mayors on 4th and 5th June 2025 and their Nomination will take place on 9th and 10th June 2025.
The Commission through its District Electoral Supervisors shall man this activity at the respective districts
