As we concluded the FDC 2021 post-election review and audit meetings of Buganda Region, at our National Party Headquarters, Najjanankumbi- Kampala, with the FDC leaders meeting of Wakiso District, President Eng Patrick Oboi Amuriat congratulated the Party leaders of Wakiso for being steadfast and true to the cause of regime change.
The FDC Wakiso District leaders meeting is part of the Party’s mobilisation expedition of Buganda Region coupled with a valuation of the 2021 general elections, the viability of the existing Party structures and checking on the health of the Party.
The meeting brought together former Party flag bearers at the level of Parliament and local Government as well as the Party grassroots structure leaders from the 8 Constituencies that make up Wakiso District; Busiro East, Busiro North, Busiro South, Entebbe Municipality, Nansana Municipality, Kyadondo East, Kira Municipality and Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality.
The meeting was addressed by the Party National Vice Chairman in charge of Buganda Region Mr Kibuka Mukalazi, Secretary General who also doubles as the Budadiri West MP Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, National Electoral Commission Chairman Hon. Boniface Toterebuka Bamwenda, National Mobilization and organisation Secretary- Hon Hassan Kaps Fungaroo, Women’s League Leader Ms – Faridah Nangonzi
Deputy Secretary for publicity Mr Kikonyogo John, National Youth League Chairman Mr Mulindwa Walid Lubega, Ms Nanyonjo Susan the Secretary for ethics, culture and religious affairs, Ms Fatuma Zainab Abalinabyo the Secretary for the environment, MrHamis Musoke Walusimbi the Deputy Secretary for the environment Mr Kalule Samuel Kiseyeye the Secretary for elderly.
Mr Okwera Mugisha the Deputy Secretary for Agriculture, Hon. Amin Sadick Agere the Mayor of Busia Municipal Council who also doubles as the Secretary for Defence and Internal affairs, Hon. Centenary Robert ex-MP Kasese Municipality.
Concluding with the Wakiso District leaders meeting, that means the entire country has been handled as far as the Party reaching out to its grassroots leaders and two Subregions are left out; Karamoja which had armed conflicts and the Party postponed the FDC Karamoja leaders meeting and Greater Mubende leaders meeting which was postponed due to ebola.
The Party National leadership will very soon retreat to take stock of the issues raised in the series of meetings that the Party has had with grassroots leaders countrywide and will form the strategic direction of the Party.
