THE FDC MEDIA BRIEFING MAY 22ND 2023

BY ELECTIONS

This is to inform the public that the FDC Party will actively participate in the upcoming by elections in Bukedea District. The positions to be filled in this case are the Bukedea LCV District Chairperson seat as well as the Bukedea Sub – County Male LCV Councilor. We are therefore pleased to announce Mr. Oita Sam Odeke as our LCV District Chairperson candidate for Bukedea District and Mr. William Okia Bukedea Sub – County by-election. FDC expects to nominate its candidates on 5th June 2023

Both candidates are proven politicians who have gone through the FDC leadership training Academy and are committed members of the Party, who never give up despite the regime brutality. As the FDC, we call upon all the people of Bukedea district to trust us by choosing our candidates. We go into this by election, while knowing that the Junta will unleash the money, arsenal and security services in this campaign just like it has been the case in previous elections.

However, our confidence is in the people of Bukedea who have always supported us in our journey to liberation.

We also note that in 2021 General Elections, EC connived with Rt. Hon. Anita Among Annet to disenfranchise and illegally remove a number of candidates using illegal court orders. This matter of the woman MP Bukedea has never come to its conclusion, and as FDC we expect her to have out grown the excessive ego and calm down to understand that the people of Bukedea must determine their leaders.

National Electoral Commission also released the Elections roadmap of Oyam County North, and the Party will actively participate in this by election and very soon, we will unveil our candidates is yet to identify a candidate for the same seat.
