CONTINUED DETERIORATION OF HEALTH FACILITIES.
On Saturday night Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, the Minister for Information Communication Technology (ICT) and National Guidance fainted while in constituency in Kinkinzi East Kanungu District.
The information we have is that he was rushed to Rugyeyo health center IV for emergency treatment but he did find any help at the facility.
It is this same health center that a well-wisher Mr. James Garuga had taken an initiative to renovate and equip. Mr. Garuga faced resistance from Hon Baryomunsi mainly because he was an opposition leader.
Mr. Baryomunsi was later transferred to Kambuga Hospital whose state is worse.
Kambuga, which was constructed in 1965 currently, provides only outpatient services due to the sorry state it is in, the building structures have become weak and the ceilings are falling, posing a threat to the patients. The hospital serves over 500,000 people and Patients with major illnesses are referred to Nyakibale and Kisiizi hospitals in Rukungiri district.
Most NRM leaders are antagonists to social developments in their constituencies basing on the fact that whenever there is a progressive initiative brought up by other people always faces magnanimous resistance from the above mentioned leaders ,all in the name of slandering these people as opposition ideologues. Case in point a renowned businessman James Garuga planned to renovate, and equip Rugyeyo Health Centre 4 in Kanungu district were futile due to the fact the said minister sullied the former as “Anti NRM” government.
From today onward its our wish to appoint Hon. Chris Baryomunsi as our ambassador to represent the common man in cabinet about the state of health facilities in Uganda.
LORD MAYOR ELIAS LUKWAGO – GENERAL SALEH MEMOS
Last week, the public was awash with handwritten memos purportedly authored by General Caleb Akandwanaho “Salim Saleh” directed towards the person of Lord Mayor Lukwago Elias who doubles as the FDC Deputy president, reading how the latter is threatening to withdraw his support to the former .
This time around the FDC will not take a benign stance as it has been the norm in the past whenever allegations against our party leaders been circulating the media, that’s why today we strongly stand with our leaders as a party when faced with such slandering acts not until the alleged author comes out straight and states that he are authored the memos, and expound more specifically the type of support he is offering to Lord Mayor.
Until Mr. Akandwanaho comes out clear on this matter, the party cannot take mere illogical baseless conclusions serious. Such have tarnished the party’s reputation domestically and internationally.
Secondly the party recommends the public to distance itself from such acts that are always directed to leaders without factual findings.
Lastly the FDC will weather the storm and come out strong like it has done in the past years since its inception.
